NTEU Endorses United Benefits Long List of Member Benefits
Recently, we received reports from chapters that companies that are not endorsed by NTEU have made requests to meet with members to offer retirement counseling and other employee benefit programs. Some of these groups have implied that they are working with NTEU or have attended NTEU functions. To correct any confusion, NTEU has only endorsed United Benefits. Our endorsement of United Benefits began in 2013 to provide our members with retirement and benefits counseling that federal agencies were not providing. Since that time, the list of member benefits offered by United Benefits exclusively to NTEU members has continued to expand to meet our members’ needs. Whether members are just starting their careers or preparing for retirement, they can count on United Benefits as a trusted source.
In addition to well-trained retirement specialists who can help NTEU members understand and navigate the complexities of the federal retirement system, United Benefits representatives can also provide our members with Guaranteed to Issue Disability, Critical Illness, and Life Insurance options, Hospital Confinement and Accident plans, Cancer Plans, Vision and Dental plans, Legal and Identity Protection plans, and member discounts on Auto and Homeowners insurance policies. United Benefits can also help members and veterans understand how Medicare and the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), Tri-Care, and VA benefits work together and assist in coordinating these options to ensure the best health care coverage in retirement. Through United Benefits Wealth Management, expert financial advisors can provide personalized wealth management services to NTEU members.
While I respect that chapters can make their own decisions regarding the vendors they work with, I would caution you that NTEU has not vetted these vendors and have no relationship with them. The engagement would be at the chapter’s own risk, and the chapter would bear the responsibility to address any members concerns with the vendors selected.
United Benefits representatives have provided excellent service for our members and we would encourage you to work with them. If you are interested in having a United Benefits representative make a presentation to your chapter, please reach out to UB at https://unitedbenefits.com/nteu-chapter-engagement/ or call them at 866-558-2121.
